This one-act opera was written by renowned composer Kirke Mechem, and is jointly presented by the Cabrillo Choral and Vocal Program, the Cabrillo Theater Arts Department, and the Ensemble Monterey Chamber Orchestra.
The story is beautiful and the music exquisite, enhancing this ancient and beloved tale from Italy. The evening will be introduced by Ensemble Monterey in a performance of Mozart: the Overture to Ascanio in Alba K. 111, and the Double Concerto for Flute and Harp K. 299.
